I have been fortunate to be a Chamber member for over seven years, and have enjoyed and appreciated the relationships made and strengthened through various Chamber functions. Having the opportunity to provide input on numerous committees, having served as former Vice Chair of Business and Economic Development and Membership Development and Service, as well as on the Strategic Planning Committee has provided me with a stronger overall knowledge base to assist the Chamber in my current capacity as Chair Elect for 2008.

Chair Elect
I have been a Chamber member since 1990, serving on the Board of Directors since 2003, currently Secretary/Treasurer, past Vice Chair of Membership Development and Services, served on the various committees that fall under the responsibilities of these Chair positions, Oktoberfest committee since 2002, and am a graduate of Leadership Lee's Summit. The chamber has been important as an opportunity to cultivate and sustain relationships with business and community leaders, which provides growth and an enhanced community profile for Gale Communities. The Chamber is the best resource and asset available for businesses to gain recognition, develop new business, educate employees and enhance community pride.

Secretary-Treasurer
I am Of Counsel with the Nash & Franciskato Law Firm specializing in products liability, vexatious refusal/bad faith litigation and commercial litigation involving cases and clients throughout the United States. I also advise small businesses regarding various insurance coverage and other litigation related matters. In addition to my involvement with the Lee's Summit Chamber, I also serve on the MATA Board of Governors and the board for Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance. I am a member of AAJ, KsAJ, Public Justice, the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and the Swiss American Chamber of Commerce. Through the Chamber I have become better involved with the community where I live and work as well as making many valuable business and personal contacts. I currently serve on the Education Committee, Legislative and Governmental Relations Committee.

Vice Chair of Economic Development
I have been a chamber member for four years and currently chair the Health Care Committee. I have also assisted with the annual Strategic Planning Meeting held every fall and volunteer for Oktoberfest. The Chamber has been an outstanding support for Summit Medical through the networking that it has allowed us to do with other members, especially within the medical community. In doing so, it has allowed us to grow and compete with the national companies of our industry and gives us a sense of giving back to our community.

Vice Chair of Community Development
My membership in the Chamber began in 2002 with my first involvement being Oktoberfest. Attending many of the Chamber’s seminars has increased my knowledge as a new business, while participating in the networking events has increased my profile in the community and allows me to meet and know many of our city’s business owners on a more personal level. My committee participation has been and will continue to be varied as there are many opportunities for involvement. Forums on special issues and elections have been a great source of information to me in getting acquainted with Lee’s Summit and this year 2005-06 I am a member of the Leadership Lee’s Summit class.

A strategically creative full-service marketing firm, candid delivers fresh marketing ideas with excellent client service. An active member of the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce, Becky Freetly- Graber is a board member and sits on the public relations committee. Becky is also a member of the Lee’s Summit Educational Foundation advisory board, a member of the Longview Foundation board and is a graduate of the 2006-2007 Leadership Lee’s Summit program. Becky was awarded the New Member of the Year in 2005 by the Lee’s Summit Chamber, and was recently named 2007 Woman of the Year by Lee’s Summit Business and Professional Women. When she’s not focused on being candid, Becky and her husband Mark enjoy spending time with family and playing with their yellow Labrador retriever Sadie and chocolate Labrador retriever, Charlie.

I am President and CEO of DVA Enterprises Inc., which provides commercial property management and provides business consulting and investment support for small growing companies. In 1998, I founded and served as CEO and Chairman of the Board for a contract research organization, Regulatory Clinical Consultants Inc. (RXCCI). RXCCI assisted in worldwide pharmaceutical, life science, and medical device research. In 2001, the firm was named the Small Business of the Year by the Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce. Other Lee's Summit Chamber activities include Chair of Council of Chairs, Oktoberfest Committee, Education Committee, Board of Directors-Chair for 2007.
