Staff


	Nancy Bruns, CCE President Nancy joined the Chamber as President in 2000. She has worked in the chamber industry since 1986, with nine years at Independence and four years at Raytown. Nancy holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Park University and is a Chamber Institute graduate. Nancy is responsible for the program of work and financial operation of the Chamber. She works closely with the Board of Directors and Executive Committee, as well as providing input and guidance for the other committees.

	Mark Dickey Director of Governmental and Business Relations Mark started at the Chamber in August of 2004 as the Governmental and Business Relations Director. Mark is responsible for studying legislative issues as well as developing our small business programs. He coordinates the Business Development Council and Emerging Entrepreneurs Committee as well as the Governmental Relations and Legislative committees. Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in public administration and a minor in business administration from Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville.

	Leann Northway, IOM Director of Communications Leann came on board in March, 2003 and is responsible for all writing, layout and design of the Chamber publications including the Monthly Newsletter, The Link; Annual Report; Membership Directory; Lee's Summit Map; Calendar of Events and Attractions Brochures and Advertisements. She is also the tourism representative for the City of Lee's Summit and sits on the Missouri Travel Council Board of Directors. Leann works with the Visitor's Council and Public Relations Committee, and is the coordinator for Leadership Lee's Summit and Shop Lee's Summit campaign. Leann holds a B.S. in Public Relations and Speech Communications from University of Central Missouri and is a Chamber Institute graduate.

	Whitney Zeiler Director of Special Events Whitney joined the Chamber as Director of Special Events in December 2006. She is responsible for all Chamber events and sponsorships such as Oktoberfest, the Annual Dinner Auction, Schmooza Palooza, and the Golf Tournament. Whitney also coordinates sponsorships and ribbon cuttings. Whitney holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Master's in Public Affairs from Park University.

	Cathy Young Director of Member Services Cathy became an integral part of the Chamber upon her arrival in 1999. As Director of Member Services, she handles all inquiries from prospective and current members. She participates in the Membership Committee and Ambassadors.

	Kathy LeChien Administrative Assistant Since joining the Chamber in 2004, Kathy eagerly assists members, visitors and staff as needed, and participates on the Visitor's Council, Holiday Reception and Oktoberfest. Kathy's input and organizational skills have become vital to the maintenance of the Chamber's Calendar of Events Web site.

	Megan Richardson Part-time Bookkeeper Megan joined the Chamber in February, 2008 as our part-time bookkeeper. Megan holds a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Missouri State University.

	Marilyn Pemberton Part-time Assistant Marilyn works as a part-time assistant during busy times of the month. She is a great asset to the Chamber and will help you out any way she can.
